I have no answer to this question as of yet. But here is the original content of John's e-mail:
"Hi. I'm thinking of moving to a tropical zone in northern Australia - 12-12 degrees south in latitude. Can you confirm or deny what some cultivation books say - namely that in tropical regions there are two growing seasons per year? I.e. two shortest days, two longest days. If the above is true, what special requirements are there for cultivation in such areas."
