16. Subsidies available
and eligibility:
The EEC gives out a subsidy of Dfl. 1,700/ha or US$980/ha (1 US$= Dfl. 1.74) or US$400/acre (1 ha= 2.47 acres) for farmers who grow a European Union (EU) registered Hemp cultivar (strain). Cultivars from the FNPC in France (see answer 4) are eligible for subsidy.

*Industrial-Hemp has no psychoactive properties following definition of the European Economic Community (EEC); THC content is less than 0.3%.
