5. Seed use per acre/hectare:

For planting for Hempfiber seed use is 50-70 kilograms (kg) per hectare. Translated into American measurements this amounts to 45-63 pounds per acre*.

For planting for Hempseed or grain use 18½ kilograms per hectare or in American amounts 16½ pounds per acre when cultivating in rows 75 centimeters or 30 inches apart.

Additionally, if you need to cultivate again to suppress weeds in-between the rows you'll need exactly double that amount (37 kg/ha. or 33 lb./acre).
