Please send me more information about the summer internships on the hemp farms. I am a big hemp advocate and am trying to educate myself on the subject. I am also looking for a summer job which would somehow involve hemp. Thanks a lot.

I am overjoyed to learn that internships in the hemp industry are becoming available am presently a junior at the University of Memphis majoring in International Business, Political Science, and International Relations. I have always been around cotton and come from a culture built around the cotton industry. I have several family members who are cotton farmers, and I myself was drawn to the industry.

I first became aware of the benefits of hemp as a commodity in 1996 when I was attending the I.C.S.A.'s( International Cotton Shippers Association) Cotton Institute at Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee. Cotton seemed, to myself, as a miracle plant with uses ranging from cigarette filters to light filaments, but the versatility of hemp far exceeded that of cotton and my imagination. I see an excellent opportunity arising in the commodity industry as the deregulation of hemp marches forward.

I am interested in hemp farming, processing, and merchandising. I have experience farming, processing, and merchandising cotton, but my instincts draw me ever closer to the hemp industry. My area of most interest is in the merchandising of hemp on an international level where my knowledge of the cotton industry   would be most valuable. I am certain that there is more money than can be imagined waiting to be made in the infant hemp industry.

It seems that the present is the greatest time to get into an industry not dominated by giants who control huge portions of market share. I would very much appreciate as much information concerning internships in the industry as you can give me.

Thank you,

Pepper P.

I am an Environmental Studies major at Pomona College and like many others, I am extremely interested this remarkable plant. I have been aware of and involved in efforts to legalize industrial hemp in the United States for two years now. When I saw the possibility of a hemp farm internship, I got very excited. I am thrilled that this internship actually exists. Please forward me all the information about this great opportunity.

Thank you

Hello I'm glad to see this website. I've been interested in hemp since I read the Emperor. What an eye opener. Anyway I would like to gain experience growing hemp and would appreciate any help you could give me. I have no farming experience but I'm a hard worker and eager to learn. Look forward to hearing from you.

I am a former student in agriculture at the Macdonald Campus of the McGill University. I am presently working for a seed company here in Canada (Quebec and eastern Ontario). I am also preparing my proposal for an eventual master that I wish to do in Europe (The Netherlands, Finland, or United Kingdom). I would love to work on an hemp farm before beginning my masters. This would help me understanding the lifecycle and growth of the plant. This experience could facilitate the field work of my master and help me promote the growth of industrial hemp in Quebec! If you could forward me some information on how to find a good farm (in Europe, Canada or US) I would be very happy!

Sincerely yours,
Daniel D.

To whom it may concern,

after searching through the University of Vermont website, and many other websites, it was the internship offer on your website that finally showed me what I was looking for. I am an Environmental and Forest Biology student majoring in plant sciences at the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry. I am only a freshman but I am looking to try and get hemp on the course list here somehow. Any way as a landowner (family land in Virginia) and an environmentalist, I'm hoping to learn all that I can about hemp so that I may present valid and well formed arguments to all those that would oppose the legalization and teaching of hemp production and manufacture. Here at ESF one can major in paper science, I don't see why we shouldn't be able to major in hemp science too. Anyway please put me down on whatever list there is or tell me who's offering the internships and I'll definitely be in Canada this summer.

Thanx Chris T.

Hi, My name is Cindy and I really want to learn all there is to know about growing, processing and the marketing of hemp.

I am an Agronomy student at California State University, Fresno. I have no farm back ground just the desire to be in the Industrial Hemp business. I attended the Manitoba "Hemp Pageant" sponsored by CGP in August. I learned a lot and want to find out how I can get internships on working farms in British Columbia for the summer of 1999. Are you the one to ask these questions?

Om and many thanks, Cindy

HCF: Yes, hi Cindy. Throughout the years we have gotten similar requests. Now however, the Canadian Hemp industry is gearing up and there will be lots of seasonal hemp jobs during the next summer (1999). Therefore, we at HempCyberFarm want to put together a program for people like you.
